 A (talán mondhatjuk így:) legnagyobb társasjátékos portál, a BoargGameGeek.com, minden esztendőben, így idén is kiosztja a Golden Geek Awards díjait. A jelölteket és a győzteseket is az oldal támogatói választják, vagy (ha valaki rendszeres látogatója, felhasználója az oldalnak, talán tudja miről van szó), 20 GeekGold is elegendő a szavazati jog megszerzésére. Az átadási ceremónia a rendes évi gyűlésen, novemberben lesz Dallasban (Texas állam  ).
